A cat found a home

Lily was walking home from school one day when she saw a small, bedraggled cat sitting on the sidewalk. The cat was dirty and skinny, and its fur was matted. Lily felt sorry for the cat, so she picked it up and took it home with her.

Lily gave the cat some food and water, and then she cleaned it up. The cat purred contentedly as Lily brushed its fur. Lily named the cat Mittens, and they quickly became best friends.

Mittens was a very loving cat, and Lily loved her very much. They would play together every day, and Mittens would always sleep on Lily’s bed at night.

One day, a man came to Lily’s door. He said that he was the real owner of Mittens, and that he had been looking for her everywhere. The man was a circus master, and he used Mittens in his shows.

Lily was sad to see Mittens go, but she knew that she had to give her back to her real owner. The man took Mittens away, and Lily was heartbroken.

The next day, Lily was walking home from school when she saw Mittens sitting on the same sidewalk where she had found her. Lily ran up to Mittens and picked her up. Mittens purred and rubbed against Lily’s face.

Lily took Mittens home, and she told her parents what had happened. Her parents said that they understood why Lily was so upset, and they told her that she could keep Mittens.

Lily was so happy to have Mittens back. She knew that Mittens was happier with her, too. The circus master had not loved Mittens as much as Lily did, and Mittens had not been happy being used in his shows.

Lily and Mittens lived happily ever after. They learned a valuable lesson that day: true love is more important than anything else.

The circus master also learned a lesson that day. He realized that he had been wrong to use Mittens in his shows. He saw how much happier Mittens was with Lily, and he decided to give up his career as a circus master. He opened a cat shelter, where he could help other cats find loving homes.
